Walter Dziki, Ph.D.

Walter Dziki, Ph.D. is the chair of the USP Project Team 18 on PAT and an Associate Research Fellow in Global Pharmaceutical and Analytical R&D of Abbott Laboratories.  He earned a Ph.D. degree from New York University in physical organic chemistry. He joined Abbott in 1991 and began studying physical characterization and solid-state chemistry of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), excipients and drug products.  He is currently performing PAT feasibility studies and assisting in the implementation of PAT in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing.
